Description

The Centre for Health and Development Murska Sobota was established by the Institute of Public Health Murska Sobota with the support of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia in 2005 to promote research, education, investments in health and development, and sustainable development in the Pomurje region and beyond.

In 2009 the Centre for Health and Development Murska Sobota became a WHO Collaborating Centre for the mandate of four years with the programme to implement capacity building in the field of intersectoral investment in health. The main goal has been to share and transfer the good practices and capacity building activities to the Member State Healthcare Network in Southeast Europe in the fields of social determinants, reduction of health inequalities and intersectoral investment in health.
